This destination wedding in Germany was somewhat of a dream come true, and one of the many ways how life can just be awesome!
7 amazing days exploring parts of Europe & reconnecting with friends: I first met Luisa in 2010 during her time in South Africa, where we worked together at Church youth, I showed her a little of South Africa and we really built a good friendship over that time.
Fast forward to 2018 and we have the announcement of Luisa & Tom’s engagement (whoop whoop!) I’ll be honest when myself & Luisa spoke about her engagement, we really did just entertain the idea of me coming over there to capture their wedding, we marveled at the thought a little more, and then well, the thought quickly become reality.
Luisa & Tom chose the town of Bethel, in Bielefeld to host their wedding celebrations. Every family member & friend around was onboard, collectively taking on a task to make sure their vision for the day come to life.
Friends from near & far came to join in for a big church celebration for the ceremony. The reception was left for a smaller crowd. A first for me was seeing how our bride & groom incorporated the theatrical side for the reception: a choice of games, singing, and non-stop toasting (PROST!)
I whole-heartedly enjoyed every day of my time in Germany. This wedding will be one I will always treasure and look back on.
Thank you to my friends & host family for making me feel at home.
Enjoy browsing through the moments.
